Sports Illustrated stated the Puakea Golf Course “is too spectacular to keep off our list…dramatic in the extreme, the course offers fabulous views of the Pacific and is built amid volcanic cliffs, massive ravines, giant sinkholes and lush tropical undergrowth.”
The 18-hole, par 72 layout offers a variety of looks for golfers of all skill levels. Puakea has rolling mounds, strategic bunkering, water features, and a spread of foliage that shape it’s 6,954 yards.

A Practice Place Like No Other
Puakea has a spacious practice facility. On July 1, 2003 Puakea Golf Course reopened an exciting new 18-hole layout with a new driving range, short-game practice area, and putting green. Our all grass driving range has 6 target greens with a backdrop of the Wai’ale’ale Mountain Range. The short-game area allows one to practice a wide range of pitches accompanied by a large bunker for all shots. Roll some putts at our large practice green offering a variety slope conditions.
