Frequently Asked Questions
What is included with the green fee?
A green fee covers 18 holes or however many holes (no more than 18) until golfers need to return to the clubhouse, whichever comes first. All green-fees include warmup range balls for each player and the applicable carts for the pairing.
What does Kama’aina mean when selecting my tee time?
-Kamaʻaina is a word most use to describe
Hawaii residents regardless of their racial background. In order for this rate to be given, a current Hawaii state ID will be checked by our staff at check-in.
What is your dress code?
Shirts with a collar or mock neck, are required for all players and all adult riders. Appropriate golf attire including shirts, slacks, shorts, skirts or dresses must be worn at all times. Golf shoes, tennis shoes or golf sandals are required. Bare feet are not allowed.
Are riders allowed?
Yes, and if an extra cart is not needed, then they are not charged extra (ie a single player brings along a spouse). If an extra cart is needed, then a charge of $25 will be added to the green fees. Adult riders will also have to adhere to our dress code. Allowing riders extra carts is based on cart availability. Please check with the Pro-Shop prior to your playing date, because extra cart(s) may not be available for your group.
What time should I arrive before my tee-time?
We recommend you’re at least 30 minutes to fully use your warmup range balls.
Players and/or groups that do not check-in within 20 minutes of their tee-time will not be guaranteed to start at their reserved tee time and may be pushed back to a later tee time.
Do you have 9-hole rates?
Unfortunately, we do not offer 9-hole rates.
Do I need a tee-time to use the range?
No! Our range is open to the public, and our dress code does not require a collared shirt on the practice facilities.
What are your range hours?
Our normal range hours are 7:00am – 5:30pm.
The ball machine turns on at 7:00am and turns off at 5:30pm.
On Tuesdays the ball machine is turned off at 5:00pm, and all balls must be hit onto the range by 5:30pm.
On Wednesdays the ball machine turns on at 8:00am.
If you are one of the first tee-times of the day, you may not be able to use the range before your tee time. Please save the code as you are allowed to access the range the same day after your tee time.
Why should I book my tee-time online?
We encourage you to book on
www.puakeagolf.com because that is the place where you find the best available deals and prices! You can quickly see where the best tee-times are that fit your schedule. You also can book 24/7 and ensure you get your preferred time without losing it overnight to another group!
How much are your rentals? What types do you have?
Our rentals are $70/player for the round. We offer PXG rental clubs and a sleeve of PXG balls are included.
Sets are also available to use on our range, for $15.
—-All rentals require a standard form, and the Pro-Shop will also hold the ID/DL of the payee.
— If you use our sets, we also have gloves and balls to purchase in case you are unable to bring yours!
What is your raincheck and refund policy?
Unfortunately, we do not give rainchecks.
Due to Kauai’s subtropical weather, rain is often on the forecast. Once you tee off, you are not eligible for a raincheck.
The good news is that most showers are brief in nature, and our course is still playable with carts in most conditions.
Refunds are given at the management’s discretion (including those that have past the 48hr deadline in booking through Chronogolf); and usually only if extreme conditions exist that have been determined play will cause damage to the course.
Puakea’s Standard Policies
